I started my career in zoology at Leeds and carried on with a master’s in research at Manchester University, exploring the intricacies of animal biology. Early on, my fascination with computers – then used mostly for word processing and spreadsheets -sparked a journey that would eventually lead me into the world of technology.

• Early IT and Apprenticeship: A training course at a London Council introduced me to programming and early web development.
• Mentorship and Growth: When I joined a growing consultancy, I learned the value of leadership and discovered that every client is just a person – lessons that still guide me today.

• Startup Spirit: I co-founded ventures like knowmalaria and Recova-19, learning first hand how to build and scale businesses – navigating the challenges of the frantic world of working within COVID-19 testing.
